Question: Which season is your favorite and why?

Answer: Definitely summer. Hot and humid. I love that time of year because most people hate it. Living in North Carolina, it’s really hard to be outside when it’s 95 degrees and 95% humidity. As a golfer and tennis player, it’s my favorite time because you rarely find people outside on the golf course and most tennis players can’t stand the heat, especially older players (over 55). So I learn to not only tolerate the hot weather, but to love it and thrive in it! When I travel, I love it when I go to Arizona in the summer because it’s been 110+ when I’ve been there – and at night, when it’s 80 degrees, it’s downright refreshing! You rarely find anyone outside when it’s 110 degrees – and there I am, going out for a walk. I’m just weird that way. As you can guess, I hate the winter, the cold weather, and definitely SNOW! Luckily, we don’t get a lot of the white stuff here in North Carolina – or else I’d have to move farther south. I’ve been told that I have some “issues,” and the weather thing is just one of many.

Other Stuff

I’m intrigued by education. Always have been, always will. I had a conversation the other day, someone sharing the they are going to have students in classes in summer to catch up. My comment…that schools let students down, not because everything was online, but it would have been a great time to implement self-education (and self-directed learning). Empower the students to find something that matters, then let them (with help) create their own leaning objectives based on something that matters to them. I’ve noticed that when young people get to me in college, they have NO IDEA what they want to go, just taking the advice of family, friends, and the media. So sad… Anyway, here’s an article that might be interesting to you, it’s about self-education. Check it out here:

Self-Education leads to potential side hustles. Just saying….
