Meditation Music: Soft Focus: Liquid Mind (7:25) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F6iMXz5jlc

Question: What is your go-to entertainment of choice?

Answer: Music. No questions asked. When I work out. When I work. When I meditate. I always have some type of music playing, whether it’s in the background or motivating me to step up my workout. For example, as I write this, I’m listening to the meditation music track listed above – and if I go longer, will usually pick another similar track to listen to. This morning when I went for my 8-mile walk/jog, I listened to a playlist of 600 songs, composed of a mix of 60’s music through music of today, including old hip-hop, country, Christian, jazz, hard rock, top 40 – and the list goes on. Great stuff to listen to, when it’s 5am, dark, and all alone. Makes the workout go a little bit faster. During the day while working, I typically play either new age or jazz, depending on the mood. Most times it’s jazz, since it’s a little more upbeat than new age. Music definitely soothes my soul. Other than that, I may watch a movie once a week and TV probably 2-3 hours a week. I’m of the mindset that if I’m going to spend an hour doing something mindless (like watching TV), I’d rather read and learn something new. I must admit, however, that every once in a while I’ll get on this binge and watch 5 to 7 episodes of Law and Order: SVU. Again, every once in a while, like every couple of months. Reading is my pleasure, providing me new opportunities to learn.

Other Stuff

Read another great article this morning. It’s about the work that you do. Check it out here:

Put your head down and get to work. That’s it in a nutshell. Easier said than done, right?
