Question: “Time is more valuable than money.” – Jim Rohn. What do you think about this statement?
Answer: I would agree with the statement by Jim Rohn. I believe money is just a tool to achieve/accomplish things that you want and need to do. You can always find ways to replace money, but you can NEVER replace time, so it’s best to use your time wisely. I’ve been making a concerted effort to use my time wisely, making sure that my work time, my fun time, and down time is really doing something meaningful that makes me better and/or serves others well. For example, this morning, I decided to watch a couple of great videos by Seth Godin, one on “finding one’s calling” and the other on “marketing.” Of the two, I liked the marketing one better because it actually provides a great framework to think about the work you really want to do. You can check them out here:

There were SO many takeaways from the second video – for example, if you’re interested in serving people in some capacity, fill in the blanks of this statement: “My product is for people who believe __________. I will focus on people who want __________. I promise that engaging with what I make will help you get __________.”
Another insight – You get to pick what you do, so do something worthwhile. Then, figure out who it’s for and what it’s for – and obsess about that because we don’t do marketing TO people, we do marketing WITH people. How’s that for great insight for a Tuesday?
