Question: What do you love about traveling?
Answer: What I love most about traveling is getting to see new and different campuses. When I get asked to do a workshop or training on a campus, it’s always a treat for me. There’s something about visiting a new campus, connecting with the faculty and staff (and sometimes students) as they engage in Life Design Catalyst work. Even though I haven’t had as much support from my institution to do this work outside my job, I still look for opportunities to engage – and will continue to do so. Travel for leisure? Doesn’t provide me the same amount of joy. I’m usually good for about 2-3 days “on vacation,” but then I’m ready to go home. I do enjoy visiting great friends, like Robin and Carl Middleton in Wilmington, NC because they feed our soul…but if you asked me to go to the beach, I’ll pass. Good for sunrise and sunset walks, but that’s about it. Going to hike in the mountains isn’t a bad option, so that’s something I’d at least consider. Big cities? Out in the middle of no where? Overseas? Cruises? No thank you. I’d rather stay home, play 9 or 18 holes of golf, read a book, and hang out with our dog Laci.
