Question: What careers do you imagine for yourself “when you grow up” now?

Answer: I don’t think I’m looking for a career now, I’m looking to implement my calling. My career is in higher education and have had multiple roles at four different colleges over my academic career. Now, I’m more focused on creating my next opportunity as opposed to just applying to anything that’s out there. Life Design Catalyst work is so different that what most people are doing that I just don’t know if there’s a “position” that actually fits me. My title would be “Life Design Catalyst,” where I help people create a career and/or life plan that resonates with their soul. How cool of a job/career is that? And it seems like the more I share the work, the more people want to help spread the word. At first, LDC work was geared towards first-year students. Then I added a Training Program, then as a professional development workshop, and now it’s starting to spread throughout various parts of the country. My head is spinning right now, but in a good way. I’m just going to KEEP MOVING FORWARD until the right opportunity comes my way, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Other Stuff

As I continue to construct what I want to create for myself in the latter years of my life, it’s interesting to see how I may call it into being. I remember reading and learning about the “laws of attraction”; back then, the principle was that if you imagined it, it would come into being. I didn’t believe it then and I don’t believe it now. However, I did read an article yesterday that took a different spin on the laws of attraction that I thought was interesting. Check it out here:

It’s a much different perspective on the laws of attraction, one that I find much more interesting than what’s out there. If you have any thoughts, please share.
