  • Life Design Catalyst Training (18th local Training since 2014)
  • Date: May 22-24, 2023 (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday)
  • Time: 8:30am to 4:30pm (Monday and Tuesday), 8:30am to 12:00pm (Wednesday)
  • Location: 118 School of Education Building, University of North Carolina-Greensboro
  • Cost: $199 for New Participants, $99 for Returning (Previously Trained) Participants. Training includes lunch and snacks each day, a LDC-inspired Catalyst t-shirt, Training materials, and awesome connections.

This will be an IN-PERSON event – no online, no hybrid. Masks are optional, but we know that may change by the time the Training starts.

Get connected with like-minded souls, interested in helping students (and others) find purpose and meaning in life. You will learn about our SPARCK Framework, which addressees these questions:

  • (Story) “Who am I?”
  • (Purpose) “What am I here to do?”
  • (Aspirations) “Where do I want to go?”
  • (Reflection) “How am I doing?”
  • (Connection) “Who will help/support me?”
  • (Kick-Start) “What will I do now?”

It is one of the few Trainings where you’ll engage in introspective activities that will challenge you to reflect on your own life to understand the impact you WILL have on others!

You will learn strategies to move people from Transition to Transformation!

Your lead facilitator for the three days will be Bill Johnson, who now serves at the Coordinator of the Legacy Men of Color Program at Davidson-Davie Community College. He is the creator of the award-winning, nationally recognized Life Design Catalyst Program; he has facilitated all seventeen of the previous Trainings.

Click here if you want to see the agenda and table of contents from the December 2022 Training Manual: ldc training workbook table of contents, 3-14-23. Warning: We won’t get through ALL of the content in the Training, but at least you’ll still have access to all of the tools.

We are excited to share our new LDC Training format with you, where we will spend the first two days (Monday and Tuesday) developing your “Catalyst Compass” (a new tool) and the last half-day on strategies to implement your mission statement and your student success (marketing) promise. You will leave with a host of tools, a better understanding of yourself, and a plan to for work – now and in the future.
