Good morning all! I thought I would provide you with two quick thoughts today…
First, a poem that was delivered to me via e-mail this morning:
– – – – – – – – – –
Second, my dear friend Pam Schoessling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee shared with me a video that touched me – and really speaks to resiliency and making wise choices.
The TED Talk is titled, “Embrace the Shake” by Phil Hansen – and his “work” in the video will blow your mind!
Check it out here: http://www.ted.com/talks/phil_hansen_embrace_the_shake.html
I believe that Phil Hansen is living “LIFE” – should we all?
How’s this for a thought…imagine giving this poem to first year students the first day of class as their “mantra” on how to embrace their college experience – and how to live life!

I love Embrace the Shake. That is some awesome art!
This video clip says so much on so many different levels. The idea that “embracing the limitation can actually drive creativity” is transformative. I love the line, “We need to first be limited to become limitless.” I was completely amazed by his Goodbye Art project where the art lasted only a short while. He said that as each project was destroyed, “I was learning to let go. Let go of outcomes, let go of failures, and let go of imperfection.” This has been an inspiration (and a prod) for me to “Embrace the Shake” that is within me. Thanks for sharing.
