Relaxing Music for the week: Loving Touch: Deuter (10:10) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMa2iDlOkiI
Question: How’s your sleep quality these days?
Answer: That is my biggest weakness and biggest challenge right now…sleep. For as much as I work out, I know that I need more sleep and more rest. On average, I usually get about 6 1/2 hours a night. Every now and then, the weekly total will be less, especially when I have nights when I will get 3-4 hours of sleep. It’s been something that Rebecca and I talk about a lot because she’s really worried about my lack of sleep. I seem to function reasonably well now with a lack of sleep; in fact, when I get over 7 1/2 hours of sleep or more, I seem to feel worse than when I get 6 1/2 hours. I feel like I’m in a fog or something. One of the things I need to do is get my ass to bed earlier more consistently, especially when I’m getting up to do my 8-9-mile walk on weekday mornings. Going to bed at 10am is making it HARD to get up at 4am-4:15am so I can be out on the road by 4:45am. For example, I did an 8.3 mile walk, starting at 4:50am, got back around 4:45am, then did my stretching and push-ups/sit-ups. And the rest of the day was a slog because I got 6 hours and 5 minutes of sleep. This past Sunday, I was able to get a little over 7 hours of sleep and had an awesome walk, best 9-mile walk time ever. Sleep matters, I just need to find a way to make it more of a priority.
Other Stuff
I don’t think I mentioned this in my previous posts, but I’ll be hosting a Life Design Catalyst (Train-the-Trainer) Training from December 13-15, 2021 at UNCG. I’m excited about this Training because I’m going to approach it a little differently than other Trainings. I have a few new tools and videos to share that are aligned with this new direction, so it should be a lot of fun for both new participants and “seasoned” tribe members.

I think the level of fun will be substantially because we’ll be doing it IN PERSON, where we always have more fun and more connection.
