My friend Ivor and I had this interesting conversation about talents, skills and gifts earlier this morning – and again this afternoon. It’s our belief that “gifts” are more important than talents and skills because gifts are not only the good things you do that are effortless, but that you use your gifts to serve others.
I’m defining “talents” to describe you naturally do well, where “skills” are the practical application of your talents to improve your talent. Gifts takes these two to a higher, spiritual level. Want to see gifts in action? Check out this series of clips created from Young Sheldon/Big Bang Theory to illustrate to use of gifts:

Now, think about your gifts – and ask yourself, “Am I sharing my gift(s) with the world?”
