september 2025 reflection

9 months down, 3 months to go!

2026 is now less than 3 months away…another good time for a monthly reflection!

Here’s my September 2025 reflection…

Reflection Questions…

  • What has been most consistent for you since the start of 2025? OR What is different about you since the start of 2025?
  • What was the biggest change, your greatest achievement, and/or your most profound progress made in September 2025?
  • What was a challenge/adversity you had to face, an obstacle you had to overcome, or problem/issue you had to deal in September 2025? What did you learn from the experience?
  • If you were being bold and focused, what action could you take in October 2025 that could profoundly impact your life (in a positive way)?

Answers…

  • What has been most consistent for you since the start of 2025? OR What is different about you since the start of 2025?
    • Yearly fitness goal is moving along great, although I made a slight change to my yearly walk/run/elliptical goal – from 800 miles back to 750 miles because I’ve been dedicating more time to playing golf.
    • I’ve continued to meet with the LDC Community on a regular basis – Tuesday mornings with Ivor, Wednesday afternoons with Bianca and Demetria, and Wednesday evenings with LDC Community members. And we’re having much deeper, more rewarding conversations when it come to LDC work.
    • I believe I am clearer about what I’m here to do – To use my gifts of meaning-making, content creation, and group facilitation to help advisors and coaches in higher education unearth purpose and meaning in their lives so they can do the same with their students.
  • What was the biggest change, your greatest achievement, and/or your most profound progress made in September 2025?
    • I had a great month for steps – typically, I average around 100,000 steps per week. This month, I had one week of 120,000+ steps, and two weeks of 110,000+ steps.
    • I created the following new activities/tools:
      • The Shadow Within: Exposing the Negative Attitudes, Behaviors, and Beliefs That Hold You Back
      • Breaking Through: Simple Solutions for Overcoming Negative Attitudes, Behaviors, and Beliefs
      • Motivation for Change Scale
      • Catalyst Contribution One-Liner, which includes three new/modified activities: Specific Gifts, Specific Audience, and Big Results.
    • Ivor and I published 2 videos for the “The Catalyst Way Podcast.”
    • My golf game is “boring,” in a good way. Regardless of the course, my scores have been between 82 and 89. The boring part of my game is that my shots are straight and down the middle. I seem to have two good holes (par or birdie) for every bad hole (double or triple bogey).
  • What was a challenge/adversity you had to face, an obstacle you had to overcome, or problem/issue you had to deal in September 2025? What did you learn from the experience?
    • My weight challenge was going well at the beginning of the month, but has dropped off the end of this month. Although I know dropping the weight would make a difference, my desire doesn’t seem strong enough.
  • If you were being bold and focused, what action could you take in October 2025 that could profoundly impact your life (in a positive way)?
    • Complete a second book to complement “The Catalyst Way” book.
    • Continue to do specific activities to make my shoulders and legs stronger.
    • Begin to enroll participants in the December 2025 Life Design Catalyst/The Catalyst Way Deep Dive Training.

It’s time to take things to another level in October!
