It’s November!
Where has 2025 gone? I can remember the start of the year, like it was yesterday – and now we’re two months away from the end of the year!
Here’s my October 2025 reflection…
Reflection Questions…
- What has been most consistent for you since the start of 2025? OR What is different about you since the start of 2025?
-
What was the biggest change, your greatest achievement, and/or your most profound progress made in October 2025?
- What was a challenge/adversity you had to face, an obstacle you had to overcome, or problem/issue you had to deal in October 2025? What did you learn from the experience?
-
If you were being bold and focused, what action could you take in November 2025 that could profoundly impact your life (in a positive way)?
Answers…
- What has been most consistent for you since the start of 2025? OR What is different about you since the start of 2025?
- I’m closer to completing my yearly fitness goal – right now, I have 8 weeks to go and I’m still on track to complete my walk/run/elliptical goal (750 miles) and my indoor/outdoor cycling goal (1,000 miles). And I will BLOW by my step goal – possible by the end of this month – out of the water. I’m at 4.5 million steps right now, on my way to 5 million steps by the end of the year. I’m averaging about 105,000 steps per week each week for the past 9 weeks, so I should be good.
- I’ve been very conscious about answering the two questions that guide my days:
- Morning: What will I do today to make me better, someone else better, or the world a little better?
- Before Bed: Did I do something today to make me better, someone else better, or the world a little better?
- I’ve continued to devote time almost every day to Life Design Catalyst work, whether it’s creating/modifying a new activity, finding a new tool, even reading a new book. Seems like my best ideas come from the engaging conversations with the LDC Community.
- What was the biggest change, your greatest achievement, and/or your most profound progress made in October 2025?
- I had a great month for steps – typically, I average around 100,000 steps per week. This month, I had one week of 120,000+ steps, and two weeks of 110,000+ steps.
- I created/modified the following activities/tools:
- Current State Snapshot
- Personal Core Values (longer version)
- Catalyst Contribution One-Liner (new version of meaningful work statement)
- Pillar of Practice Self-Assessment and Pledge
- Ivor and I published 3 videos for the “The Catalyst Way Podcast.”

- I had the opportunity to facilitate two workshops:
- College Stores Association of North Carolina
- Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College
- Completed drafts for “The Catalyst Way Workbook” and “The Catalyst Way Pillars of Practice Mini-Book.”
- What was a challenge/adversity you had to face, an obstacle you had to overcome, or problem/issue you had to deal in September 2025? What did you learn from the experience?
- Although I picked up the number and intensity of my workouts and steps in October, weight still hasn’t changed.
- My arms still hurt. I’m now on Week 4 of my exercises, and my partially torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders still hurt, although I can tell that I’m making a little progress, since I have better range of motion than before.
- Sleeping has been a challenge. Dealing with a severe care of night sweats (every 1.5 hours). I’m also have a hard time falling back asleep after going to the bathroom at 3am/4am. Some mornings, I just get up and read – then just stay up throughout the day.
- If you were being bold and focused, what action could you take in November 2025 that could profoundly impact your life (in a positive way)?
- Continue to do the specific activities to make my shoulders stronger.
- Start diligently preparing for the December 2025 Life Design Catalyst/The Catalyst Way Deep Dive Training, since it’s only 7 weeks away. Goal is a minimum of 16 participants!
It’s time to take things to another level in November!
