I was reading an e-mail from a company called “The Happy Start-Up” by Laurence McCahill. The subject was about “Unfaking the World,” how “being fake” has infiltrated our lives and caused an epidemic of depression and anxiety in young people. Made me think a lot about Brene Brown’s TED Talk, “The Power of Vulnerability.”
It’s a great article; you can read more about it here:
He refers to a TED Talk in his article as well, “The Art of Being Yourself” by Caroline McHugh; here’s the link to the TED Talk:
And I did a little digging and found this great article about the “True Mirror”; check it out here:

And check out the True Mirror web site: http://www.truemirror.com/
As I read this article, maybe the classes we actually need to teach our young people are:
Life 101: The Art of Knowing Yourself
Life 102: The Art of Being Yourself
Goes hand-in-hand with our Life Design Catalyst Coaching Program – “Coaching to Know, Coaching to Grow!”
Enjoy!
Motto for your Life Design Catalyst Coaching programs is great – thanks for sharing. Definately feel the names of those classes is so needed for college or high school students.
