The Dream Dean

In our HHS125 class this semester, students are not given homework each week – all activities are done in class (other than the three poster projects).

Instead, we are using the quote the quote by Abraham Maslow – “In any given moment each day, you have two options: you can choose to step forward into growth (+1) or backward into safety (-1).” – to get them to think of opportunities to add +1’s to their lives every day.  Sometimes it’s a TED Talk, sometimes it’s a video, sometimes an article – it all depends on the theme for the week.

This week, as I was looking for articles/videos that I thought I could be inspirational to the students when I “stumbled” across this music video by Danny Gokey:

I thought this would be a great +1 for them to watch, given that they are presenting their My Life Story Posters and Presentations this week in class.
