Meditation Music: Adagio for Sleep: Liquid Mind (7:36) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bXByXUHTqg

Question: What are your biggest time-wasters or energy drains right now?

Answer: I don’t want to address the energy drain right now, since it’s a pretty emotional topic for me right now. We’ll just leave it at that. As far as time-wasters go…it’s going down “rabbit holes,” especially when on YouTube. It’s funny, I’ll be listening to a meditation video (like I am write now while writing this). Most of the time when I’m done positing, I’ll just exit both WordPress and YouTube, then get back to work. Every now and then, when I’m closing out the YouTube video, there will be something interesting to check out – either another video song, something related to go, or some motivational video. I’ll clink on it, check it out, then click on another video, then another. Next thing you know, I watch 30-60 minutes of videos! Luckily, it doesn’t happen very often (like TV binge watching), but it’s more likely to happen when I’m on the computer than watching TV, since I’m on the computer EVERY DAY for at least 5 or 6 hours a day. Right now, I’m working on a presentation that I’m giving on Thursday, so that’s got my attention right now. I’m sure I have other time wasters that I could share, but I’m drawing a blank right now.

Other Stuff

I’m on this mission to change the way we work with young people. I wish we would stop focusing on things that don’t matter and more on things that do matter. What matters? Here’s a refreshing article by Mark Manson that you might find enlightening:

Would love to hear any thoughts about it…
