Question: Who are your favorite people to hang out with?

Answer: My favorite people to hang out with are my daughters and many of the members of the Life Design Catalyst Tribe. Rebecca tells me that I’m a totally different person when I hang out with my daughters; it’s like everything in my body and mind comes alive when I’m around them. They are definitely two of the greatest joys in my life and I am so, so proud of them! They inspire me to keep doing what I’m doing in Life Design Catalyst work, so that I can help even more students use their gifts in greater service to the world.

Then there’s the Tribe. When we have the opportunity to do a training, it’s like a family gathering. I’m around MY people, like-minded souls that are on a similar journey as myself. When we were doing the trainings in person here in North Carolina, not only did we have a great time during the Training sessions, but the “after hours” gatherings were magical. It’s those instances where you have the opportunities to hear the stories about life’s journey – and they always warm my soul. COVID has temporarily put that on hold, but I’m sure we’ll have opportunities to do it again in the near future.

And for those in the Tribe that might read this, I would love for you to share your thoughts about gatherings with Tribe members…

Other Stuff

I read this article yesterday…and it made me think back to the people that I have chosen to be a part of my life. I always share with students that the people you want in your life are those who handle adversity well. Everyone can be and do well when things are going well; it’s those that be and do well when things aren’t going well that are the ones worth keeping. Here’s an interesting take on this philosophy:

This is the one that I’m constantly working on, making sure that I handle the bad stuff well. That’s how connect at a deeper level with really great people. And adversity always happens, lurking around the corner. Just handle it well…and you’ll be okay.
