Question: Are you an outdoors or indoors person? What is your favorite activity in either setting?
Answer: It’s hard to say because it depends on the climate. I’m very much a warm-weather person, so I prefer the heat more than the cold. If it’s warm, I definitely prefer to be outside; if it’s cold, I’d much rather be inside. In fact, I moved to North Carolina (from New Jersey) to get away from cold and snow. Most people around here love snow; having grown up around it, shoveling it over and over again, I learned to dislike snow. Don’t want to see it or be around it. However, I can’t saw that I’m a fan of the indoors, especially during the summer, when the air conditioners are blasting cold air. I seem to get summer colds ALL the time, when I’m going from hot to cold to hot to cold. Warm is fine for me.
As far as indoor and outdoor activities go, if I’m indoors, let’s go with reading books. That always seems like a really good activity to me when I’m just chilling indoors. If I’m outdoors, golf is the sport of pleasure right now, although tennis was definitely another option, as well as walking. One of the things I’d like to try this year is pickleball, which I’ve been told is very addicting, so I’m to add that to me outdoor activity toolbox in the near future. As you can tell, active engagement outdoors is best for me!

I think I found my next read. Check out this interesting review of the book, “The Second Mountain: The Quest for a Moral Life” by David Brooks (Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Second-Mountain-David-Brooks/dp/0812993268/ref=sr_1_1). Here’s the link:
