the year of you, day 193

Relaxing Music for the week: The Joy of Quiet: Liquid Mind (8:47) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tdv1Ct-MLM

Question: In which area of your life have you experienced the most growth recently? Why?

Answer: I can honestly say that I’ve been much, much better about letting negative thoughts ruminate inside of me for extended periods of time. In the past, if something that I viewed as negative happen to me, I would let it fester and grow inside of me until it become anger, than lash out at other through sarcasm or harsh exchanges. Since the start of the year (and watching an interview between Tony Robbins and Marie Forleo, What It Takes to Have an Extraordinary Life – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuFysBXxMUw), I have working really hard to let the negative emotion enter my body, but then, instead of letting it settle inside my soul, I watch it pass by. Sometimes, it goes by in an instant, sometimes it takes a while. But in most instances, I can easily let it go and watch the negative thought go by. That’s definitely a change for me, but a good change.

Other Stuff

I’ve been collecting interesting videos to show in our HHS125 classes during the Fall Semester, with the hopes of getting our students to gain clarity and direction on what they want to do in life. Here’s one that I think will be interesting to students, especially those interested in making money; it’s a video by Benjamin Hardy:

So, how well are you doing on these six strategies? Is there a strategy or two that you could implement right now that could enhance your work and your life?
