Question: What do you think about the saying “Money is the root of all evil?”

Answer: Yes and no. How money is viewed and used in a choice; if money is used as a vehicle for good, then it’s a positive; if money is used as a vehicle for bad, then it’s definitely the root of evil. I believe that there’s more people using if for good than using it for bad; however, it’s seems like those that use it for the bad are the one’s that get the most attention; rarely do you hear about the good that’s being to to help others move forward. I’ve noticed that as I have gotten more comfortable with my financial situation, that I was to use my money for good, to make the world a little bit better for those I choose to share it with. I love that I get to take Rebecca out for dinner, take friends out for lunch or golf, leave nice tips for those who serve us well, etc. It doesn’t have to be big things that make a difference, little things matter as well. Of course, there are those people who are manipulating people so that they can have more money – and in those cases, it’s definitely for evil. It breaks my heart right now that there are people using their skills to collect ransom money for evil things. But with all of the bad, know that there’s some good out there…and I hope that I can use money as “a force for all good.”

Other Stuff

I read Marie Forleo’s “Everything is Figure-Outable” about two weeks ago. In the book, she had a great acronym for FAIL:

  • Faithful Attempt in Learning

How about that? I’ve always been of the mindset that you either “win” or you “learn” – and that works well for me.
