Question: How do you feel about your eating habits those days?

Answer: I seem to do better with eating when I’m working and in routine than when I’m not working and away from home. When I’m home, I start out with my 8-9 ounces of green juice; my morning breakfast (usually around 10am or 11am) are two bananas and chocolate milk (and when hungry, a Pop Tart). I will typically have nuts as my snack (almonds or cashews), and then end with some type of pasta dish, three turkey and cheese sandwiches, oatmeal, or soup. And that’s about it. I know that I should get more color in my diet, but I just can’t seem to get myself interested in anything else, fruit or vegetable. I have an appointment with my doctor in early November, so I’ll get some information on how I’m doing then. It’s been 18 months since I’ve had an appointment, so it will be good to get checked – especially to see if the clot in my right thigh is reduced. I think my eating is better now than it used to be, since Doritos and Chips were a staple in my diet for a while. I do eat them every once in a while, maybe once a week, but that’s about it. And then there’s the sugar; for the longest time, you would find Frosted Flakes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and Crunchberries in our pantry. Now, it’s Raisin Bran Nut Crunch and Cinnamon Life – a little better and definitely more fiber. I do have my dessert cravings, but it’s definitely fewer and far between (2-3 times a week vs 4-6 times a week). It was mostly chocolate chips cookies; now, it’s just a small bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. And only Bryers Ice Cream, because most of the other stuff tastes like crap. Little changes leads to big results, right? One things throughout this process that I’ve learned is that my cravings for food has reduce, which I have to be careful about because I don’t want to pass out from lack of food. I haven’t changed my workout routine, so I have to make sure to have food in me in order to get through each day. It’s all good, right?
