how’s life?

I read this article yesterday (among the 11 that I read that morning) and found this gem:
I can’t say that I really was moved by the article, but there was one question that I couldn’t stop thinking about – and I’m going to ask you to think about it as well:
  • Am I living the life that I want and doing the work that I want to do?
Simple question, isn’t it? I said “yes” to the first part of the question (yes, I am living the life I want to life) and “almost” to the second part of the question (almost doing the work that I want to do). What about you….how would YOU answer the question?
If your answer is “yes” to both, you’re definitely someone I admire. I don’t know many people who can HONESTLY answer “yes” to both. If your answer is “no” to either or both, then I would challenge you to define what you need to do in order to live the life you really want live AND to do work you really want to do. Great question as a “thought” for the day!

On behalf of the North Carolina Community College Student Development Personnel Association (N3CSDPA) conference planning committee, we are excited to notify you that you have been recommended to serve as a potential keynote speaker at the 2023 Summer N3CSDPA Conference that is being held June 22-23 at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC. The conference theme is “Changing Tides,” so our focus is managing change from the middle and handling change as a Student Services professional. The audience of the conference will be entry and mid-level professionals from NC community college Student Services professionals. A draft of the agenda is attached for your review.

With the information above in mind, would you be interested in serving as the Keynote Speaker on Friday, June 23rd and providing a session on finding one’s purpose? If you would be available and/or interested in this opportunity, N3CSDPA will cover your meals, mileage, and hotel accommodations at the current state per diem rate. Once you are able to verify your availability and interest in this opportunity, the committee will review, make a final determination, and confirm the details by the end of May, at the very latest. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out to me.
