2025 energizing goals-January

Now that we’ve almost completed our first month of 2025, it’s time to think about how you’re moving forward with your goals for 2025. Believe it or not, it took me almost the entire month of January to identify my list of goals for the year. For some reason, it was harder to identify the things I had hoped to accomplish – but they because clearer once I started preparing for my first workshop for 2025 – which I facilitated this past Saturday (January 25, 2025).

So, here’s my list of Energizing Goals for 2025:

Work/Business/Education

  • Facilitate at least one half-day and/or full-day Life Design Catalyst workshop every other month.
  • Contact at least two schools/professional organization per month to build relationship for future speaking engagements.
  • Facilitate one three-day Deep Dive Training in Northeast (Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York area).
  • Build Life Design Catalyst Program and/or The Catalyst Way YouTube channel.
  • Offer two 3-day Life Design Catalyst Trainings here in North Carolina, one in May (May 12-14 or 19-21) and one in December (15-17).
  • Find at least 250 people in all 50 states to become Catalyst Champions.

Money/Finance

  • Obtain at least 6 paid gigs in 2025 – use money to pay for vacation trips for me and Rebecca (see below under “Lifestyle/Personal Growth).
  • Start collecting Social Security in March 2025; use money to build up personal savings account and for house projects.
  • Work with Kelly Weaver (financial advisor) to increase retirement portfolio $100,000.
  • Decrease spending, being judicious on the items I purchase (focus more on experiences vs things).

Health/Well-Being

  • Get my weight back down to 185 lbs. and body fat under 15%, preferably by March 31, 2025.
  • Set fitness/exercise goal of 1,000 miles walk/run/elliptical/rowing, 500 miles indoor/outdoor cycling, 7,500 push-ups and sit-ups, and 5.5 million steps.
  • Purchase scale to keep track of body measurements at least once a week.
  • Develop regular meditation practice where I meditate at least 5 times a week.

Relationships/Connections

  • Stay connected with LDC Tribe members at least three days a week (Mastermind groups meetings on Tuesdays at 12:00pm and Wednesdays at 2pm; meet Ivor on Tuesdays at 9:00am; meet Scott on Tuesdays at 7:30pm; Wednesday night group calls at 8:00pm).
  • Enhance relationship with Rebecca by having more meaningful conversations at least once a week.

Lifestyle/Personal Growth

  • Take at least 6 vacation trips away from home with Rebecca.
  • Commit to reading at least one book a week in 2025.
  • Participate in the North Carolina Senior Games at the local level, completing in tennis (singles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles), pickleball (singles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles), golf, bowling (singles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles), mini-golf, and table tennis (singles) – and possibly in power walking, shuffleboard, and bocce.
  • Play USTA Tennis at 3.5 level, joining a team in Spring, Summer, and Fall, preferably at the 55+ level (but will also play at 40+ level).
  • Get rid of clutter in back bedroom, basement, and garage.

So far in January 2025:

  • Purchased the scale for body measurements.
  • Facilitated one paid full-day workshop in Greensboro, NC.
  • Reached out to one university to have chat about LDC work.
  • Signed up to play on two USTA teams in Spring (Men’s 3.5 55+ and Men’s 3.5 40+)
  • Read three books in January: Give to Grow (Mo Burnell), How to Get Clients (Steve Chandler), and Learning to Love Midlife (Chip Conley).
  • Have had seven meaningful conversations with Rebecca this month.
  • Have had four weeks of three meaningful conversations with LDC Tribe Community.
  • Meditated 5 days a week for two weeks, usually deep breathing activities in bed.

Moving right long! By the way, my list is in my home office and my bathroom, so I can see them every day!

  1. This is exciting, Bill! I am ALMOST ready to move back into my house–and I am teaching two dual credit public speaking classes for my university–so many of the things you talk about connect strongly with me and where I am in my present life. And you KNOW I am a proud Tribe member. I look forward to re-establishing some of those connections. As always, I am immensely proud of you.

    • Hi Melanie. I’m glad that things are moving along with your house. Yeah! And it’s nice that you’re getting a chance to teach! Yeah #2! I’m glad that I can continue to inspire you on your journey…let me know what I can do to help as you continue to move forward, my friend!
