Question: What’s the view like from where you are right now?
Answer: Not exciting. The window in the office where I’m typing this post looks out to the other townhomes across the street. Nothing extravagant, but plain. It will be a little nicer once the flowers are in bloom; but for now, it’s pretty drab. If we were to walk to the back of the house, where we have our screened-in porch, you’ll see the woods (with no leaves) and the Deep River. It’s weird…when the trees are full of leaves, we can’t see the River; when it’s winter and all the leaves are gone, we can see it from out back. We’re high enough so it most likely won’t be a problem, but 2 or 3 times since we’ve been here, the water has come within 50-75 feet from our house. That’s pretty significant, considering that we’re at least 150-200 feet from the River. It’s nice to sit back there and work, when it’s about 65 degrees, the sun is shining, and they road construction guys are not working. Sad to say, they are building a highway near our house and the River, so we’ll have to hear noise from the traffic coming by – and that’s a bummer!
