Question: Where in your career could you use support right now?
Answer: Right now, it’s just support for my crazy idea to create an Office/Center for Transitions and Transformation. Although some may see it as a crazy idea, I see it as one of those things that could be extremely beneficial in a community of people craving for clarity, direction, and purpose. How many people do you know that ARE NOT in some state of transition? And that transition can be personal and/or professional. Think jobs/career and relationships as the two most important areas of transition. It would be nice to have at least ONE institution/place that would believe in what I’m trying to do and take a chance. The good thing is that I’m really passionate about it, so I’ll keep plugging away until something happens. Sounds like a grant, doesn’t it?
Sorry for the short entry…facilitating a session titled, “The College Journey: From Transition to Transformation. Helping Students in Their Quest for a Meaningful Life.” I’ve been prepping for the two-day workshop, so not much time to write.
