Question: What is one negative story you tell yourself about yourself that holds you back?
Answer: It’s a toss between “Am I worthy?” and “Do I matter?” Although the answer to both is “yes,” every now and then I tell stories (and it’s more like negative thoughts) to myself that that question my worth – to myself and to others. But then I think back to all of the times that I’ve helped people and it makes me feel better. Side note: When I’m feeling really down, I take a look at my success book, and that makes me feel better, knowing that I have made a difference in the lives of others. I need to focus my attention on the good that I’ve done, not the negative or bad. I’ve been great about not letting the trolls and negative people affect my work and myself because I’ve learned that no matter what happens, you’re going to have someone not like what you do. And when you become even more successful, you’ll find more trolls and negativity coming your way; so you just have to take their comments with a grain of salt. It’s more about them and the state of their mind than about your work. No more negative stories to hold me back, right?
